Ancol - Purumda Pal

The Ancol tourist area or Taman Impian Jaya Ancol is one of the largest and famous tourist destinations in Jakarta located in the North Jakarta. This area includes tourist attractions that offer various types of entertainment for visitors including entertainment tours, educational tours, water tours, and restaurants.

The numerous recreational and entertainment activities in the Ancol  can produce wastewater sourced from restaurant facilities, used swimming pool water, and other sources. To preserve the environment and as a form of commitment to environmental care, Ancol provides Wastewater Treatment Plant facilities by Organica and PJLEnviro.

Ancol WWTP was built with a capacity of 4,000 m3/day using Fixed Bed Biofilm Activated Sludge (FBAS) technology in a footprint area of 36 x 25 m2.   Biological Treatment with Fixed-Bed Biofilm Activated Sludge (FBAS) technology uses plant roots and engineering media that provide a large surface area for biomass to attach and grow.

FBAS is designed not only to function optimally in wastewater treatment, but also to have an aesthetic appearance and harmony with the environment. Our WWTP seamlessly integrates with the landscape preserving the uninterrupting flow of one-stop recreation experience.
The FBAS system is engineered with a garden-like design, seamlessly blending natural aesthetics with the surrounding environment, making it an ideal addition to the Ancol area. Its compact footprint allows for optimal land utilization, maximizing space for commercial purposes. Additionally, the system operates odor-free, ensuring that visitors can enjoy their activities without any disturbances. This innovative solution reflects our commitment to both environmental sustainability and enhancing the visitor experience.
