Sludge Thickening
Thickening is the first step of sludge treatment which is used to increase the content of sludge solids by removing a portion of the liquid fraction. It is useful for further processing, namely to reduce the capacity of the tank and the equipment needed, the amount of chemicals required for conditioning the sludge, and the amount of heat/fuel needed by the digester/heat drying.

Drum Thickener
Filter drum as a thickener is the alternative to the static thickener, centrifuges, and flotation for thin sludge and statically pre-thickened sludge of throughputs of up to 120 m3/h. The optimum result can be obtained at high throughput performance, while achieving a maximum possible degree of thickening at minimal return load and lowest operational cost, in continuous operation. -
Belt Thickener Flux-Drain
Belt thickeners as a mechanical thickening are continuous gravity filters. The flocculant is added in the inlet to enable phase separation due to the formation of macro-flakes. The flocculated sludge is gently conveyed to the horizontal dewatering zone via an inclined chute and distributed over the entire width of the belt where the plate assists the outflow of the filtrate water.
