World Water Day, The Importance of Maintaining Clean Water for the Future

World Water Day is a celebration that is held every year to make people around the world aware of the importance of maintaining clean water and sustainable resource management.

World Water Day is celebrated on March 22. This World Water Day commemoration aims to provide support to communities around the world by reducing the use of excessive tap water. Water is one of the most important natural resources for all living things. Apart from daily needs, clean water is also used by humans for drinking, where as we all know that 80% of the human body is water. It can be imagined that if the earth lacks clean water, it is certain that all living things will experience death.

But in fact, based on the official website of World Water Day, it says that around 1.9 billion people in the world still live in water-scarce areas. And it is predicted that this figure will continue to increase by around 3 billion people in the next 30 years, where the need for water will automatically increase by 30 percent compared to today. Another fact also states that about 70 percent of industrial waste is discharged into water bodies, thus polluting the water supply, and more than 80 percent of the wastewater that is used daily is returned to the surrounding environment without being reprocessed or reused.

The provision of clean water has a very important role in improving environmental conditions and public health. So far, the supply of drinking water for the community has often faced various complex problems which have not been resolved completely. The change in the availability of clean water which continues to decrease is a real consequence in daily life that we must consider.

By seeing this problem, one of the solution that must be pursued is to manage waste water into clean water so that it can be used by the community. In its application, PJLEnviro provides an innovative solution, namely by implementing a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to reduce these negative impacts. Therefore, industrial wastewater treatment can be carried out optimally, and the treated wastewater can be discharged into water bodies without harming the surrounding environment.

The water on earth needs to be protected. Have you ever thought if there will be any clean water supply in the future? Of course this problem will burden future generations. By commemorating World Water Day every year, it is hoped that people will realize how important clean water is for our lives and for future generations.
