3 Ways To Celebrate Earth Day

World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 each year. Earth Day aims to raise awareness among the masses about climate change and global warming. Since its inception in 1970, Earth Day has continued to develop as a worldwide phenomenon focused on promoting clean living and healthy and sustainable habitats for humans and wildlife.

Celebrating Earth Day also plays an important role as a conscious reminder of how fragile our planet is and how important it is for society to protect it. If it weren't for Senator Nelson taking a stand in the 1970s, we might still be producing lead-hungry cars and expanding industrial production through smog and waste.

We have heard countless problems about how bad things are in the world today. Starting from increasing greenhouse gas emissions, the air in cities becomes dangerous, clean water is increasingly scarce, the health of the ocean and fish stocks are declining, forests and natural habitats are being destroyed, plastic in our oceans is out of control. Challenges regarding environmental issues today have a very big involvement in the life of the people, economy and politics of our country. This is the greatest risk and the most formidable challenge for life in our time.

With this situation, even though the government and international organizations have played a role in agreeing the global target (Paris Agreement), it is still not enough to make it happen alone. Environmental goals cannot be met only by the environment ministry, no matter how much money they give. So of course more contributors are needed to be able to realize and overcome this problem. As a good society, it is our duty to make this happen. Environmental challenges are clearly visible before our eyes. So, what must we do to appreciate our earth?

As a form of PJLEnviro's responsibility in protecting the environment, PT. Panca Jasa Lingkungan has created innovative and sustainable solutions for wastewater or even environmental challenges, we provide WWTP (Wastewater Treatment Plant) technology. However, as a society, of course we can also contribute to protecting the earth, through small actions, but if implemented by the whole community, it will certainly have a big impact on the earth we live in.

Here are 3 small steps we can take to participate in celebrating World Earth Day:
• Taking garbage : Through small things by taking your own garbage and throwing it according to its place and not polluting our earth, of course this is a small action but it is very important in protecting our environment from being damaged.
• Recycle: Recycle is the main way to save the environment from piles of garbage, namely by modifying waste or used goods into new items that are useful and have economic value. Recycle is an activity that can help save money, energy and natural resources and can be done by everyone.
• Planting trees: Reforestation is a method of planting trees and reforesting both forests and areas or empty land to restore their functions. Reforestation is carried out as an effort to improve forests due to burning, felling trees and other irresponsible actions which of course will have a bad impact on humans.
