PT K.I Jababeka Centralized Industrial Estate WWTP

The Jababeka Industrial Estate is located about 40 km East of Jakarta. The industrial Estate was first developed in 1990 with an initial area of 510 ha. At the end of 1997 the area of the Jababeka Industrial Estate amounts to approximately 1000 ha.

The management of PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka was awarded by the Local Environmental Organization “Sahwali Award“ in 1994, an award is given to an Environmentally-Friendly Business Entity.

The Centralized Waste Water Treatment was designed to have a Final Capacity of 42,000 m³/day. On its final stage, the plant will have 1 Primary Clarifier, 7 Oxidation Ditches, and 3 Secondary Clarifiers. Today the current capacity of the plant is 18,000 m³/day with 3 Oxidation Ditches.

The plant is now considered to be one of the largest Centralized Treatment Plant for Industrial Estates in Indonesia.

The Plant is running with No Chemical Addition and relies 100% on the Biological Process designed by PASSAVANT and PJL. It neutralizes more than hundreds of different types of Waste Water stream ranging from Dairy Industries to Heavy Textile Industries with relatively low operation and maintenance cost.

Up to today, 18 PASSAVANT MAMMOTH ROTOR is in operation 24 hrs a day the whole year long with no record of major repair.

The Plant has consistently better every single Discharge Criteria for an Industrial Estate conforming to the West Java Governor Decree No.660.31/SK/694-BKPMD/82 Gol II.

The plant is now considered to be one of the largest Centralized Treatment Plant for Industrial Estates in Indonesia.
